Judicial Candidates


Important Judge positions are up for election in November.  


At the top of the PA court system is the 7-member PA Supreme Court. A vacancy was created by the death of a Justice in 2022. The position will be filled by election in 2023.

At the intermediate level there are two appeals courts: 


PA Superior Court  

This is the court of appeals for most criminal and civil cases.

Two seats of the 15-member Superior Court are up for election this year.

PA Commonwealth Court

This is the court of appeals and also of first jurisdiction for cases involving state and other levels and agencies of government and elections. One vacancy will be filled in the November election.

This is the county level court where trials take place.

Magisterial District Justice

At the local level our current District Justice is retiring. We will elect a new judge for District Court 13-1-24 at 113 and Maple Ave.  Adam Katzman is the Democratic candidate for the position.
